Knee Arthroscopy

Ligament reconstruction

A) Anterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction :

One of the most commonly injured ligament of the knee because of sports injury or accident. It is reconstructed arthroscopically by using either Hamstring or Patellar Tendon Autograft from the same limb. Ligament is fixed on thing and leg bones by endobutto, metal or bio-absorbable screws. Patient can be mobilized from second day onwards.

B) Posterior Cruciate Ligament Reconstruction

Usually gets tear in major sports collition or in vehucular accidents. Patient may have histry of knee dislocation.it is reconstructed arthroscopically with Autografts from same limb.Rehabilitation protocol for this treatment is little differnt and should be followed for long period of time.

C) Medial Patellofemoral Ligament reconstruction

Recurrent dislocation of patello following trauma caused this ligament failure. it takes place usually in teenagers.

D) Posterolateral corner repair and reconstruction

E) Medial Collateral ligament repair
